Our Mission

The First Presbyterian Church of Lufkin seeks to hear and experience anew, the call of God to be disciples of Jesus Christ. We come to church so we can GROW as a child of God. We GROW in the love of Jesus Christ so that we can GO into the world and share that same love with others. We do not see ourselves only as “church goers;” but also as Christ’s “GOERS.” As we GROW in the love of Christ, we joyfully respond by GOING into the world to give it away to others.

This missional vision helps us realize that we join with people of all shapes and sizes to share, worship, and work in a common purpose that is for everyone. The love we experience at church is to be carried out to a world in need.
